Okay so my blog is really plain and doesn't really fit my personality.  I need a picture and some different colors or something.  I'll get around to it eventually.....

P.S.  Worship last night was freakin' awesome and annointed.  God showed up huge.....some people said it reminded them worship at The Mix. Yessssssss.

God is Good.

So ever since I got saved, about 9 months ago...I've been praying and asking God what he could do with my passion for music that would directly give glory to Him.  I didn't try and open doors for myself, I didn't try and work my way into anything.  I was solely waiting on Him so that when it happened I knew it was His will and His plan, not my own.  About 7 months went by and nothing had happened and I was getting a little frustrated.... but then doors started opening.  I got blessed with an awesome mentor and teacher on the bass, I help lead worship on Friday Nights at The Furnace and on Sunday mornings for Kids Rock with 'Newer Wine', and eventually I'll get a chance to take part in playing with New Wine.  Just as I was starting to get discouraged/frustrated God pulled through big for me.   It just reminded me to keep my faith strong and to wait on him because His timing is always right.

So I've always loved music and since I was about 12 I messed around on guitar, bass and drums.  Since I liked to play all three, I never got to splurge and spend money on just one instrument.  I had to equally divide my money up among the 3, so I always just had mediocre to crappy instruments.  A new passion has come up lately for the bass, though, and I know thats the instrument I am going to pick to excel in, so I had to make the investment.  A little bit of looking and a few dollars later, I brought home my new love.  An Ibanez BTB 5 string.  It plays sooo smooth and I love having the 5th string !! Here she is :
